Hazel Dicken-Garcia Grant Applications Due June 1

The research grant is intended to provide financial assistance to graduate students and junior faculty whose mass media research work embodies the scholarly interests of Dicken-Garcia who mentored numerous M.A. and Ph.D. students during her 30-year career at the University of Minnesota.

National Award for Excellence in Teaching

Deadline for nominations: June 1, 2024

  • The annual AJHA Award for Excellence in Teaching honors a college or university teacher who excels at teaching in the areas of journalism and mass communication history, makes a positive impact on student learning, and offers an outstanding example for other educators.

    An honorarium of $500 accompanies the prize.

2024 CALL FOR PAPERS, PANELS, AND RESEARCH IN PROGRESS 

The American Journalism Historians Association invites paper entries, panel proposals, and abstracts of research in progress on any facet of media history for its 43rd annual convention to be held in Oct. 3-5, 2024, in Pittsburgh, PA.

The deadline for all submissions is June 1, 2024 11:59 p.m. EST.
